1. Information we collect
We collect the details you give us when you create an account or send an invoice: your name, email, business details, client information, and the contents of the invoices you create. We also collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and usage activity to keep the service secure and reliable.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate the product: creating and delivering invoices, sending payment reminders, processing payments, and supporting your account. We may email you about your account, security, and meaningful product updates. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment partners. We never store full card numbers on our servers. When you accept payments through Ledger, the relevant transaction data is shared only as needed to complete and reconcile the payment.
4. Email and referrals
If you request an invite code or join our list, we store your email to send your code and occasional updates. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. Referral activity is tracked only to credit the person who invited you.
5. Data sharing
We share data only with the service providers that help us run Ledger (such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing), and only to the extent they need it to perform their work. We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Data retention and security
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We protect it with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular review. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Closing your account removes your personal data, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.
