Terms of Service

Last updated January 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Ledger, you agree to these terms. If you are using Ledger on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that business.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be at least 18 years old to use Ledger.

3. Acceptable use

Use Ledger only for lawful invoicing and payment activity. Do not use it to send spam, commit fraud, infringe on others, or disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Free and Pro plans

The Starter plan is free. Pro is invite-only until January 2027 and is earned by referring others, not purchased. Earned Pro time is granted at our discretion based on verified referrals and may be capped. Paid plans become available when we open them.

5. Payments and fees

Ledger charges no transaction fees on the invoices you send. Payment processors may apply their own fees. You are responsible for any taxes related to your invoices and income.

6. Your content

You own the invoices, client data, and other content you create in Ledger. You grant us the limited permission needed to host, process, and deliver that content as part of providing the service.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Ledger available and reliable, but we provide the service on an as-is basis without guarantees of uninterrupted operation. We may update, improve, or change features over time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ledger is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these terms. On termination, your right to use the service stops, and we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
